I know it’s not the best show on TV. I know it has terrible screenwriting. I know you can see the plot holes from a plane. I know that the characters are inconsistent. I know that it’s going to get cancelled soon. But I’m going down with it. The planes, the stories, the stewardesses and pilots, the couture, the spying, the traveling and the romanticism and hope of it all. I will fly Pan Am until they close the airline.

Nerdgasm! This includes character bios, plot summaries, the backstory for the show’s mythology, and a bunch of source material constructed by the creator, Daniel Knauf: journal entries, newspaper clippings, photographs, and interviews. I was so bummed when HBO canceled Carnivale after the cliffhanger season two finale, so how did I not know about this? (Warning, don’t peek if you haven’t seen the show).
